SUNDAY HIKE

Niimoodi me siis tund aega hiljem mäejalamil olime, valmis väikeseks pühapäevaseks matkaks.

in other words: weekend started very early last week, when on Friday I already started to prepare for the wedding on Saturday, where two of my friends got married and what i was able to capture through my camera. The weather was really Icelandic- it was pouring rain all day and maybe even untraditionally, because the drops were large and heavy. And like this all day.
I arrived back to Reykjavik Sunday early morning, my head still heavy because all the wine and dancing. I woke up to that, when my phone started to vibrate on my window table, when Isold called me and let me know that no matter what, we are going to our Sunday hike now.
"Can we take dogs with?" I asked.
"If you want to..." she answered.

Just like that we were on our way up to the mountain one hour later, ready for our little hike. And oh boy- it was so worth it because it was stunning. The nature was blooming and smelling like flowers and wet soil and moss. There was no wind and the air was warm. We found a beautiful and cosy place to sit, enjoy the view and eat my breakfast and her lunch. Just on our way back to the car we got a little bit rain and we collected a pretty amount on lupines, as they bloom all over the island right now!
